The Blank Breakdown: Tennessee Titans Roster

The Tennessee Titans shocked the league last year in the playoffs, making to the AFC Championship after defeating the Patriots and Ravens. This year, the Titans will look to claim their first AFC South since 2008.

After a successful 2019 season, the Titans make some key additions to make another deep run in the playoffs this year.

Key Additions: EDGE Jadeveon Clowney, EDGE Vic Beasley, K Stephen Gostkowski, CB Johnathon Joseph, and Dennis Kelly

Key Departures: QB Marcus Mariota, DB Logan Ryan, TE Delanie Walker, DT Jurell Casey, OT Jack Conklin, LB Cameron Wake, LB Wesley Woodyard

Now, let’s dive into the Titans starters for the NFL’s 101st season.

  • QB: Ryan Tannehill
  • RB: Derrick Henry
  • WR: A.J. Brown

Strongest Position: Running Back

The Titans saw so much success because of the production from Derrick Henry. Henry was a beast last year, especially late in the regular season and playoffs, leading the NFL in rushing yards with 1,540 and tied for the league-lead in rushing touchdowns with 16. He is a tank and it is difficult to bring him down. Expect Henry to carry a huge load of the offense as he has become one oft he league’s best running backs.

Weakest Position: Wide Receiver

The reason I say wide receiver is because of a lack of depth. The Titans lost WR Tajae Sharpe in free agency and only have five receivers on the 53-man roster. Adam Humphries joined the Titans last season and never got a big chunk of targets in the offense. He needs to step up this season to fill the WR3 void from the loss of Sharpe. The depth is lacing without a solid No. 3 option and will need guys to step up to bring a boost in production.

I see the Titans snapping their drought and claim the AFC South. The Texans took a step back and still have a bad offensive line. The Colts got better this season, but do not have a true legitimate offensive weapon. The Titans have a great defense that got better with the signing of Clowney and the offense is led by an unstoppable force of Derrick Henry and QB Ryan Tannehill, who just signed a new extension.
