Arrowhead Live Staff Week 4 Game Predictions

Coming off of a rough loss to the Chargers, the Chiefs are looking to break a two-game skid and get back to .500. Here is what our writers are predicting for Sunday in Philadelphia.

Graham Cannon

Chiefs 31 – Eagles 17

The Chiefs get back on track as the offense kicks it into high gear with a 100-yard performance from Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Patrick Mahomes has an efficient day throwing for 3 TD’s. The defense is able to get pressure on Jalen Hurts and force a couple of turnovers as the Chiefs are able to get back into their winning ways.

Justin Dueppengiesser

Chiefs 34 – Eagles 17

Chiefs get back on track with a needed win against the Eagles. The offense finally limits their turnovers and plays up to what we’ve come to expect. The defense plays well enough against a poor Eagles offense to get the job done.

Rachel Coltz

Chiefs 35 – Eagles 25

After two consecutive losses, the Chiefs will probably want to play a more aggressive game, and although the Eagles have a few good players, on paper they will not be able to stop the red and gold Tsunami. However, I don’t think the Chiefs’ defense will fix all their issues this week, allowing the Eagles to put 25 points on the board.

Chris Shipley

Chiefs 31 – Eagles 27

The Eagles are an inferior team no doubt, but the Chiefs have an inferior defense. I expect the Eagles to try and have QB Jalen Hurts do his best Lamar Jackson impression on Sunday, to which the Chiefs will be susceptible. I also expect PM 15 to chill out on the hero ball highlight reel throws and win this game. Mahomes throws for two touchdowns and runs for one, CEH recovers his own fumble. Jarran Reed makes a tackle. He’s on the team, right? This should be a get-right game for the Chiefs. Let’s hope it is, because if they don’t get a W on Sunday….yikes.

Hunter Stanton

Chiefs 31 – Eagles 17

The Chiefs’ offense will easily overpower the Eagles’ defense, especially with the loss of Brandon Graham, who is on IR. The offensive line will give Mahomes enough time in the pocket to rip through the Eagles’ secondary. L’Jarius Sneed will also have a bounce-back game this week in coverage.

Nick Catlin

Chiefs 35 – Eagles 24

With the Eagles’ battered offensive line, the Chiefs’ defensive line will have their best matchup of the season thus far. I could see the defensive line trio of Chris Jones, Jarran Reed, and possibly Frank Clark be much more active in Week 3. The Chiefs’ offense will continue to put up big numbers behind Mahomes and company. a hostile Philadelphia crowd could keep things interesting, but I see the Chiefs winning by double-digits and getting to 2-2 on the season.

Shawn Obrate

Chiefs 41 – Eagles 19

Chiefs get back to basics with their offense and push around the weak Philly defense. A few bombs down the field will finally work like they were meant to the past two weeks and almost every player at WR or TE will touch the ball or get a target or two. After Mahomes spreads the ball around he’ll run in a TD and he’ll pass for at least 2. The defense will also get back to basics and get a handful of sacks against a depleted Philly offensive line and inexperienced QB. They’ll look good but the problems will still be there in the end, hopefully buttoning up little by little throughout the game.

Dylan Wilhelm

Chiefs 34 – Eagles 20

Kansas City finally gets back in the win column with a solid performance in Philly. Mahomes and the offense will have a cleaner game, and the defense forces a turnover or two to set up short fields. Reid gets to celebrate his 100th win in KC where he got his first 140 wins as a head coach.
