Here are three Chiefs autographs from the past and present that all Chiefs fans should look into buying either now or into the future:
Every NFL fan has their own personal favorite NFL player; for me, it would be Tim Tebow as he’s the main reason I’m into football as much as I am I’ve always wanted something signed by him, and I’m sure like many others, they want an autograph from their favorite player as well. Sometimes, collectors amass their favorite team’s autographs, so today, I’ll go over three Chiefs autographs from the past and present that Chiefs’ fans should look into possibly purchasing:
Present
3. Travis Kelce
As much as he’s a fan-favorite among the fanbase and the Kansas City community, he’s a great player that should never be forgotten. We could talk all about his spectacular 2020-21 season where he set records (most receiving yards by a TE and first TE to have two 100-reception seasons in a career), but he has been spectacular for most of his illustrious career. This is an auto all Chiefs fans should look forward to adding to their collection.
2. Tyreek Hill
You have the cheetah, the fastest land mammal on Earth; then, you have The Cheetah, one of the fastest, if not the fastest, player in the NFL. He has had a spectacular career as a returner and the Chiefs #1 WR in Kansas City and is a must-have autograph for all Chiefs’ fans
1. Patrick Mahomes II
You already know he was going to be first; do I even have to list what he’s done for Chiefs Kingdom besides, I don’t know, three straight AFC Championships hosted in Arrowhead, two straight Super Bowl appearances, giving Kansas City their first Super Bowl in 50 years, and so on? His signature is among the Holy Grail for any Chiefs fan to own; if you receive his auto, it would be truly Made In Heaven (Queen and Jojo reference).
Honorable mentions (no order):
- Tyrann Mathieu
- Clyde Edwards-Helaire
- Willie Gay Jr.
- Chris Jones
Past
3. Priest Holmes
Holmes is arguably the best running back Kansas City has had in their whole existence. In his six-year tenure in a Chiefs uniform, he posted 6,070 rushing yards, 76 rushing touchdowns, and averaging over 96 yards per game. He also holds the most explosive three-year span fr a running back with two years of 20+ rushing touchdowns, three first-team All-Pros, three Pro Bowls, two years leading the NFL in total scrimmage yards (01 and 02), and posted more than 4,500 yards in this span (4,590). He’s a must-have in any Chiefs’ collection.
2. Len Dawson
The man that brought home Kansas City their first ever Super Bowl back in 1970 is easily one of the best quarterbacks in all Chiefs’ history. His stats may be not all that exciting, but he did for Kansas City and how he played for them exemplifies a lot about him; his number wasn’t retired for no reason. He has to be one of the first players of the Chiefs’ past to add to your collection.
1. Derrick Thomas
Arguably the best player to wear a Chiefs jersey, Thomas was a player like no other. In ten years, Thomas had totaled 641 total tackles, 126.5 sacks (17th most in the NFL), 41 forced fumbles (9th in the NFL), and four fumble return touchdowns (4th in the NFL). He also had 20 sacks in 1990 (4th-most in a single season at the time). He was a defensive behemoth that one dared to stand in the way of his havoc.
What this man did for the Chiefs as an organization was astronomical. Even though he is not among the living anymore, his impact on the NFL remains known to every fan of every team.
Honorable mentions (no order):
- Christian Okoye
- Jan Stenerud
- Willie Lanier
- Bobby Bell
- Jammal Charles
