The Blank Breakdown: Washington Football Team Roster

The Washington Football Team is coming off its worst season in its franchise history, ending with a record of 3-13. They weren’t too active this year in free agency. With that, let’s look at additions made over the offseason.

Strongest Position: Defensive Line

I can’t pick between the two positions, so I am going the entire defensive line. The Football Team added Chase Young with the No. 2 overall pick and the defensive line got better. They have terrific pieces on the interior with D’Aron Payne and Jonathon Allen who have a combined 22 sacks in five years of combined play.

Chase Young was the best defensive player in college football last year and is going to be a beast this year. He is my Defensive Rookie of the Year Pick. Montez Sweat was a beats Mississippi State and ha show flashes of his potential. He is set for a big year as a starter. They also have Ryan Kerrigan, who will come in as a depth piece, which is insane. The defensive line is so good and will be the anchor of the entire defense.

Weakest Position: Running Back

The Washington Football Team released their two top running backs this offseason. Derrius Guice was released after turning himself in for domestic violence, and longtime NFL great, Adrian Peterson. This leaves J.D. McKissic, rookie Antonio Gibson, Peyton Barber, and Bryce Love. None of these players have starting experience unless they were used in a committee. The Football Team needs Antonio Gibson to take over quickly, otherwise Haskins will have to rely on his arm to score points.

The Football Team has had a tough offseason, mainly being in the news for bad reasons. The team itself is going to struggle again this year, even with new coach, Ron Rivera. The defense is going to be solid, but the offense has too many question marks, especially at quarterback and running back. I think Washington will finish last in the NFC East. I just want to see Alex Smith start at least one game this year for them.
