Rookie CB L’Jarius Sneed broke his collarbone during the team’s 34-20 win in Baltimore on Monday night, as first reported by Sam McDowell of the Kansas City Star.
Some were hoping Sneed would miss minimal time and that it would be more of a shoulder injury, but Sneed will now be out for an extended period of time.
Sneed had filled in for the suspended Bashaud Breeland, and played very well, snagging two interceptions and showing glimpses of becoming a starting NFL corner.
In terms of the cornerback unit as a whole, Charvarius Ward returned on Monday night with his hand in a cast, and Bashaud Breeland will return from suspension next Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
