The NFL season kicked off and there were no real problems to speak of! That is super exciting moving forward and hopefully everyone will continue to exercise caution when it comes to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While there were no real COVID-19 issues, some teams had some real issues on the field. Looking at you Jets. Adam Gase is the Vegas favorite to be removed from his head coaching position and it seems pretty warranted. That team is a mess. On the other end, as bad as the Jets looked, the Chiefs and Ravens looked great. They are the two best teams in the NFL with two quarterbacks who are playing lights out. A couple teams are going to make a jump in this weeks ranking too. Cardinals had an impressive road win and the Steelers defense looked even more dominate than I was expecting.
Let’s take a look at all the other movers and shakers.
- Kansas City Chiefs
- Baltimore Ravens
- New Orleans Saints
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Seattle Seahawks
- Dallas Cowboys
- Green Bay Packers
- New England Patriots
- San Francisco 49ers
- Tennessee Titans
- Los Angeles Rams
- Arizona Cardinals
- Buffalo Bills
- Minnesota Vikings
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Philadelphia Eagles
- Indianapolis Colts
- Las Vegas Raiders
- Denver Broncos
- Chicago Bears
- Cleveland Browns
- Houston Texans
- Atlanta Falcons
- Miami Dolphins
- Los Angeles Chargers
- Carolina Panthers
- New York Giants
- Washington Football Team
- Jacksonville Jaguars
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Detroit Lions
- New York Jets
One week does not even begin to tell the story of an NFL team. Most of the rosters won’t look like they do now by the time we get to mid-season when the real playoff push begins. However, it did give us a potential sneak peak of things to come. Right now it looks like the Chiefs, Ravens week three matchup could have real playoff implications. Also, while the Buccaneers played a very good Saints team, what if they aren’t whoever thought they would be? These stories are gonna be fun to watch being played out.
