Chiefs plan to sign S Adrian Colbert

The Chiefs have made an addition to the DB room, as safety Adrian Colbert intends to sign with the Chiefs after COVID testing, according to Terez Paylor.

This looks like a depth move for the Chiefs, with Alex Brown suffering an ACL injury and Juan Thornhill coming off of an ACL injury of his own from late last season.

Colbert was a seventh-round pick by the 49ers in 2017 but spent 2019 with the Dolphins, where he appeared in six games, tallying 22 tackles and two passes defended.

Colbert is the second recent safety addition for the Chiefs, joining former Seahawk Tedric Thompson, who signed a few weeks ago.

The Chiefs appear to be looking at multiple options for the back end of the secondary alongside Tyrann Mathieu heading into 2020.
