NFLPA agrees to no preseason games, reduced training camp roster

The NFLPA has accepted the NFL’s offer to eliminate all preseason games in 2020, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

The amount of preseason games was just one of the many issues being discussed between the NFL and the union, but progress has been made over the past few days on multiple fronts, as noted by Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer.

No preseason will allow teams and players the time for the “ramp-up” period that the players have been requesting.

With the preseason gone, the next NFL game on the schedule is the opener, with the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Houston Texans on September 10.
