Chiefs re-sign Matt Moore, waive Shea Patterson

The Chiefs have signed QB Matt Moore to a one-year deal, according to Terez Paylor.

Moore was a key part of the 2019 championship team, going 2-1 in two and a half games where Mahomes was injured, including a win over a 6-2 Vikings team.

In his two starts, Moore threw for 542 yards and three touchdowns, along with no picks.

Moore will now be the fifth QB on the roster according to the team website, joining Patrick Mahomes, Chad Henne, Jordan Ta’amu.

In a corresponding move, the Chiefs have waived QB Shea Patterson, according to Field Yates.
