The talk of the sports world on Monday is Patrick Mahomes’ record 10-year extension worth up to $503 million.
The news caught the attention of athletes across all American sports, including three-time NBA Champion LeBron James.
In his Instagram story, James congratulated the young QB, and jokingly asked if he could borrow $5.
James is no stranger to monster deals, having made over $300 million in his NBA career. Most recently, he signed a four-year deal worth $153.3 million with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018.
Just a couple of weeks ago, Mahomes joined the voting rights group “More Than a Vote.”
Both James and Mahomes are two of the biggest stars in American sports, and both appear ready to make even more of an impact off the field (and court).
