Richard Sherman responds to getting beat by Watkins in Super Bowl

At the 7:13 mark of the fourth quarter in Super Bowl LIV, the 49ers were on the brink of shutting the door on the Chiefs for good and sealing the franchise’s sixth Super Bowl title, and first since Super Bowl XXIX.

Instead, Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill had time to run wasp, and the comeback was on.

With the score at 20-17, Sammy Watkins was able to beat Richard Sherman on a 38-yard reception that set the Chiefs up in the red zone.

In a recent interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, Sherman says he hasn’t let the play bother him. “It didn’t bother me much, period.”

Sherman aims to build off of a strong 2019, where he only allowed one touchdown and grabbed three interceptions.

The 49ers have turned their attention to 2020 and remain one of the favorites in a very competitive NFC.
