Steven Nelson criticizes Chiefs, calls K.C. ‘racist’

In response Tyrann Mathieu’s tweet regarding Brandon Marshall, former Chief Steven Nelson took to Twitter to voice his displeasure with his former team.

Nelson is referring to former Chief Marcus Peters, who began raising his fist during the anthem in 2016, then later sat on the bench during the anthem.

Peters was then traded in 2018 to the Rams.

Nelson was a third-round pick by the Chiefs in 2015 and left for Pittsburgh following his rookie contract.

Since he left Kansas City, he has made it clear multiple times that he is much happier in the Steel City.

In a Twitter exchange with a fan, Nelson even called Kansas City a racist city.

Nelson is entering his sixth season in the NFL, his second in Pittsburgh, and hopes to keep the Steeler defense in the top-10 in the league and help them return them to the playoffs.
