Patrick Mahomes, Tyrann Mathieu and other NFL stars issued a message to the NFL in a video on Thursday.
In a powerful statement, the players ask the league to state that they were wrong in silencing peaceful protests, referring to kneeling during the national anthem.
They also ask the league to recognize this right in the future, and to pledge that Black Lives Matter.
The NFL has been accused of blackballing players who protested in the past, and with the recent events, kneeling and other anthem protests may see an increase in 2020.
