After adding QB Shea Patterson and DE Taco Charlton, the Chiefs needed to make a few moves to get back down to the roster limit.
On Monday morning, the Chiefs did just that by waiving TE Alize Mack and RB Mike Weber.
Mack was a 2019 7th round pick by the New Orleans Saints. He bounced around between the Saints and Steelers practice squads before landing with the Chiefs, where he had signed a reserve/futures contract in January.
Weber was also a 2019 7th round pick by the Cowboys. He was on the Cowboys practice squad in 2019 and signed a reserve/future contract with the Chiefs in January.
Charlton will now join the team, with Spagnuolo and Reid hoping he can bring some more talent to the defensive line.
Patterson will also join, potentially battling for the third quarterback spot with Jordan Ta’amu.
