Lamar Hunt founded the Dallas Texans in 1959 and moved to Kansas City in 1963. Despite only spending a few years in Dallas, the Texans were critical for the growth of the AFL and fared well in the city despite cross-town competition from the Cowboys.
The NBA’s Dallas Mavericks designed a jersey that honored the late Lamar Hunt, the Dallas Texans, and the legacies that they have left on the city.
Another honor for a man who most certainly deserves it, this one a slick jersey.
