The Chiefs have cleared up some needed cap space by restructuring Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, as first reported by Terez Paylor.
Duvernay-Tardif was a potential cut candidate for the Chiefs this off-season, as he carried an $8.9 million cap hit in 2020.
The NFLPA salary cap report had the Chiefs at about $1.5 million in cap space before the move. The move likely frees up enough space needed to sign this year’s draft class.
Specific numbers have not yet been reported.
