The Chiefs have signed former Browns and Cardinals TE Ricky Seals-Jones to a one-year deal, as first reported by Terez Paylor.
The Chiefs were in the market for a backup tight end after former Chief Blake Bell agreed to a deal with the Dallas Cowboys.
Seals-Jones went undrafted out of Texas A&M in 2017. He then signed with the Cardinals where he spent two seasons before spending last year in Cleveland, where he caught 14 passes for 229 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Seals-Jones will step into a role behind Travis Kelce and provide another offensive weapon for Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes heading into 2020.
