Best and worse matchups for the Chiefs vs Raiders

The Chiefs and Raiders are set to continue their great rivalry this Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. As the two teams prepare, let’s take a look at the best and worst matchups for this Sunday’s game.

Coming into the Patriots game, the Chiefs defense was ranked number four and they certainly played like the best defense in the league getting four turnovers. If the Chiefs defense rolls that over into Sunday’s game against the Raiders, they could be in a world of hurt. Derek Carr has notably struggled at Arrowhead against the Chiefs during his career, going 0-6 at Arrowhead.

If the Chiefs offense stuggles like it did on Monday, the Raiders could have a chance to shock some people. Mahomes and the Chiefs have struggled a couple of the last few weeks, aside from the Baltimore game, where they got creative with their play-calling.

The best way for the Raiders to win is for them to keep playing their game and get rookie wide receiver Henry Ruggs involved as well as Hunter Renfrow, Zay Jones and running back Josh Jacobs. Jacobs has 300 rushing yards in the last four games with three touchdowns, and he has been a big part of the raiders offense and success in the first two games.

Although the Raiders are 2-2 coming into the game, they have had success on the defensive side of the ball and something that the Chiefs need to be aware of is the young studs that Las Vegas has on the defensive side of the ball in the likes of defensive lineman Maxx Crosby who has three sacks and five Tackles, cornerbacks Lamarcus Joyner who leads the team in tackles at 19, followed by Johnathan Abram.

With Sunday’s game just two days away, if the Chiefs don’t figure it out on the offensive side of the ball, they are in for a long game on Sunday.
