2020 Free Agency: Day 1 Recap

With the tampering period officially ending and free agency beginning, NFL teams continued their pursuit of many free agents and recently cut players. Here is a recap of the day:

  • Lions agreed to 2 year, $8 million dollar deal with Danny Shelton
  • Titans traded DT Jurrell Casey to the Broncos for 2020 7th round pick
  • Patriots traded S Duron Harmon to the Lions for an undisclosed return
  • Dolphins signed former Patriots C Ted Karras to 1 year, $4 million dollar deal
  • Panthers released S Eric Reid
  • Jaguars traded QB Nick Foles to the Bears for a 2020 conditional 4th rounder
  • Chargers signed former Vikings DT Linval Joseph to 2 year, $17 million dollar deal
  • Ravens and P Sam Koch agreed to 2 year extension
  • Jets resigned CB Brian Poole
  • Falcons signed former first round pick Dante Fowler to a 3 year, $48 million deal
  • Rams signed recently released Bears OLB Leonard Floyd to a 1 year deal worth up to $13 million
  • Raiders signed former Giants and Saints CB Eli Apple
  • Chargers signed 9 time Pro Bowl CB Chris Harris to a 2 year, $20 million deal
  • Andrew Whitworth will return to the Rams on a 3 year deal
  • Cardinals signed former Lions LB Devon Kennard to a 3 year deal

With the Chargers, Raiders and Broncos addressing the defensive side of the ball exclusively, it is clear that the divisional rivals have an eye on stopping the Chiefs offense.
